Day 1:

  1. Introduction to HTML & CSS
    • Why HTML & CSS
    • Why we need to test the web pages on different browsers
    • How to debug html & css on IE / Chrome using developer tools
    • What's the importance of writing styles in separate style sheets

    Duration : 1 Hr
    Take away from this session :
    • Student will learn when to use styles within HTML page and when to move them to style sheets
    • Student will learn debugging HTML & CSS using developer tools available in IE / Chrome
    • What's the importance of caching style sheets on the client end.


  2. Introduction to Javascript
    • Why Javascript
    • What javascript can do
    • Inline javascripts & external javascripts
    • Coding stanadars to follow while writing javascript code.
    • Debugging javascript code using developer tools in IE/Chrome

    Duration: 1 Hr 30 mins ( Including workshop )
    • Arrays in javascript
    • Few examples on when to use arrays
    • Functions in javascript
    • How functions are executed
    • Passing functions as reference to another function
    • Exception handling
    • importance of javascript exception handling
    • Regular expressions in javascript
    • when and how to use regular expressions in javascripts

  5. AJAX using Javascript
    • Need for AJAX enabled pages
    • Creating AJAX requests

    • Student will know how to handle request / response using AJAX in javascript


  6. Working with JQUERY framework
    • Need for JQuery
    • Downloading and using JQuery library
    • Reading & Writing to html controls using JQuery
    • Binding and Unbinding control events using JQuery
    • Binding and Unbinding styles using JQuery
    • JQuery Selectors
    • JQuery AJAX
