ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
MITM began the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in 2007, its own founding year. The Indian IT industry by then had become a force to reckon with. It prompted us to understand the importance of imparting quality technical education in this
coveted field so as to create engineers par excellence. Hence the department is a result of the missionary zeal of our dedicated staff, to educate students from all over India including those from rural areas, and mould them into engineers who can lead the future. However, only
technical education is half the picture. Along with, we strive to develop the students into
enlightened individuals, who improve the living standards of their Families, Industry and
Society as a whole.
Program Educational Objectives
PEO1 : Be successful in solving engineering problem associated with computer science and engineering domain
PEO2 : Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects and acquire high levels of professionalism backed by ethics.
PEO3 : Communicate effectively and exhibit leadership qualities, team spirit necessary for a successful career in either industry, research or entrepreneurship.
PEO4: Continue to learn and advance their career through participation in the activities of professional bodies, obtaining professional certification, pursue of higher education.
Program Outcomes
PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health, safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods, including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities.
PO6: The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.
PO7: Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, demonstrating knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
PO8: Ethics: Apply ethical principles, commit to professional ethics, responsibilities, and norms of engineering practice, including inclusive practice and equity.
