Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore (MITM) is one of the pioneer Engineering and Management Institutes in the Mysore region. The Institute is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) – Belagavi, approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and recognized by Government of Karnataka. The Institute is promoted by the Maharaja Education Trust (MET), a much admired educational trust started by a group of eminent professors recognized for their research and administrative abilities in the fields of Engineering and Management Sciences. Many of them have served at the highest levels of AICTE and at different Universities.

MIT Mysore was started in 2007 and is situated on the outskirts of Mysore city (Srirangapatna Taluk, Mandya District, Karnataka). The place is just a 15minutes drive from Mysore city and a 3minutes drive from Bangalore-Mysore SH-17. The route passes through a beautiful serene lush landscape dotted with flora and fauna. MITM-MBA is a unit of MITM and is one of the premier institutes of Post Graduate in Business Administration for professionals and managers in Mysore. It was established by the dynamic and able mentors of MIT, whose foresight and vision enabled Mysore to have its private institution offering the various MBA programmes.
